San Francisco Kitchen-- The Range Vent is Evolving

This will be transformed yet again, first by Affinity Studios who will do a custom venetian plaster finish with "fern" imprints to work with the David Goldberg Fossil Collection Fern Wall Covering. Then Joe Amon from Out of the Woods will add a oak banding that will carry the cabinet crown molding onto the hood. Transformation in progress!

STEEL

We are proud to be working with a local artisan who is truly gifted. See his work in the SF kitchen suspended steel lighting soffit over the island and the support for the peninsula leg. Rumor has it many other designers in the house are fortunate enough to have his talent on board. His work is not to be missed. Here's a little bit about Wyatt:
In January 2006, working as a supervisor welding retail store-fixtures during the day, Wyatt Ellison started creating furniture designs and functional art after hours. Months of experimenting led to the development of a line of home and garden pieces, which he started selling in retail stores throughout the Bay Area. In late 2006, his company Elemental Art was launched, and has since been striving for the next big promotion.

THIS WEEKS PROBLEM SOLVED

This was a nasty surprise when the wall was demo'd to find the face of the fireplace was not in the same plane as the wall... meantime the new mantle/legs have already been built. Solution: fir out the wall to the new dimensions of the fireplace mantle/legs so the wall will receive the new mantle and legs. We love it when a plan eventually comes together :0)
