LESLIE ALLEN SHOWING @ DONNA SEAGER GALLERY

Painting for Leslie Allen is more than just a medium, it is subject, object and verb. This new series is the culmination of years of immersion in approaching a flat surface and transforming it into a vital and living work. These are sophisticated paintings with a keen sense of color, gesture and division of space.
Show runs 12/16-1/30. Artist Reception Saturday 1/9 6-10pm

A BETTER POT TO________ IN

Amid the roster of rooms touched by our efforts here at 3rings (living, dining, bed, etc.), it's safe to say that bathrooms are rather low on the ladder's rungs. This isn't to suggest that we've purposefully neglected this space of particularly intimate repose, only that the demands of the marketplace work toward more press for larger spaces. Even so, we've managed to profile a few shining stars that are sure to enliven any lavatory

NEW FROM CLODAGH

Image not displayed, click to see.
Global Passage by Clodagh for Duralee

Irish designer Clodagh suffers from wanderlust. Having traveled to more than 90 countries, her inspiration library includes spice markets in Morocco and desert grasses in Sonora. Deciding to channel her memories, Clodagh partnered with Duralee in order to "reach out democratically" and present a collection of sustainable fabrics. The resulting Global Passage textiles are all 51%+ recycled content:"renewable bamboos, organic cottons, post-con...

LEATHER AND LACE NAUGHTY AND NICE

We are so enthused about these new products.Look for them to take center stage in 2010 in a spectacular Master Suite designed by H2.
Unlike the sandblasting that had been done to completed slabs, these embossed patterns are produced by Caesarstone and are guaranteed for life. Kudos to Caesarstone for listening and wow are these new patterns beautiful or what?

GOOD THINGS COME IN TWO'S

Talented Interior Designer Kathy Bloodworth is also a skilled photographer.
Kathy studied fine art photography long before she began the practice of interior design. Kathy has always been fascinated by the play of light and shadow, "how these elements enhance and alter silhouette, how the juxtaposition of shape and texture create a visual image. These elements inform the creation of interior space, allowing movement from two dimensions into three. And in turn, that compositional formality leads to new discovery in the perception of that which seems random and decomposed."

DONNA SEAGER ART GALLERY SAN RAFAEL

Kay Bradner : Tender Observations
November 1 - December 14, 2009

Kay Bradner has a reverence for detail. She records faithfully what she sees but is able to incorporate abstract elements that punctuate and heighten the experience. Her skills as a painter and printmaker are considerable, but that and her commitment to fidelity are not enough to explain the particular quality of her work. She is like a musician who not only has the ability to hit every note, but the virtuosity that allows the listener to be transported by it.
